I put an analyzer before and after that exact plug-in and just by engaging it, it adds one decibel

The default setting of the UAD pultec EQ adds audible gain.

This makes me miss my Apollo 😭

Or it's just volume? In that old UAD emulation the circuitry was not sampled.
